National currency: Belarussian rouble. There are no coins. The largest bank-notes are worth 10.000, 20.000, 50.000, 100.000, respectively. Exchanging American dollars and Euro into Belarusian roubles is not a problem. Other currencies can only be exchanged at any bank head office. Torn or marked notes and dollar bills issued before 1990 are generally not accepted. It is rather problematic to exchange Belarusian roubles back to foreign currencies. Don't change currency in the streets! Be aware that it is illegal and might cause problems with the police.
